Dr. Britton Grier
Greetings! My name is Britton Grier, assistant principal at Habersham Central High School. I am extremely excited to work with an amazing group of adults to teach an amazing group of students. There’s a reason Habersham Central High School is the envy of other school districts: the people. I will work tirelessly this year to ensure a safe and productive school environment so all students at Central can pursue their interests after high school. Central provides robust programs in academics, athletics, fine arts, career tech, and community service to ensure success for all students.
Dora Lucas
Hello everyone, I am Dora Lucas. I am excited to serve as the new CTAE Director/assistant principal here at HCHS; however, I am not new to the school. Although I did not graduate from here, I have been a member of the HCHS faculty since 2005. Throughout the years I have taught English, been the advisor for the yearbook, a soccer coach, and the drumline instructor for the Band of Blue. I most recently was the dual enrollment/college and career coordinator, but am excited to start this new journey into the world of CTAE. I love to spend time with my friends, my family, and my miniature dachshund Scarlett when I am not attending extra-curricular activities here at the school. I cannot wait to serve all of the Career Technical Agricultural Education areas and experience this awesome and unique part of our school.
Lindsey Shafer
Hi my name is Lindsey Shafer. I am the Assistant Principal in charge of Curriculum and Instruction here at Habersham Central High School. I also work with Student Services and Scheduling. I graduated from HCHS in 1996 myself, and have taught at HCHS and Habersham Ninth Grade Academy for 21 years. My husband Brandon and I have three children: one in college, one in high school, and one in middle school. I love Habersham Central and look forward to working with all of our students and parents!
Christy Thompson
Hello Raider Family! I am the Assistant Principal at HCHS responsible for Testing and 504s. As a lifelong resident of Habersham County, graduate of the Class of 1995 (Go Raiders!), and a coach for 17 years, Habersham Central has and always will hold a special place in my heart. During my career, I have had the privilege of teaching at South Habersham for 11 years, the Ninth Grade Academy for 5 years, and most recently I have worked with all of our schools in Habersham County to increase English language acquisition for students new to our country. I look forward to working hard for our wonderful students and talented teachers this year, and I expect to see (as always) great things happening at HCHS!
