Fall Semester Milestones Begin Dec. 5

Dates for subject reviews and tests, along with tips for test taking, can be found under the ACADEMICS tab in TESTING INFORMATION.

Students are expected to be in their Milestone testing locations each day by 8am sharp. Cell phones, food and drink, and checking out during Milestones and final exams will not be permitted in order to maintain a distraction free testing environment for all of our students. The Milestones are a state mandated test and will count 20% of the final grade.

Accessing PSAT Scores

If students provided a phone number on PSAT test day, they will receive a text message with instructions to download the BigFuture School app and sign in to access their scores. They may also use their personal College Board account to access their scores.

Key Club Toys for Children Collection

The HCHS Key Club is collecting toys until Dec. 11th for children ages birth through 5 years old in Habersham County. The 1st block class that donates the most toys will receive Chick-Fil-A biscuits. Individuals who contribute the most will be entered to win a $25 gift certificate to Chick-Fil-A. Toys and stuffed animals must be new but gently used jackets can also be donated. Donations may be taken to Students Services, BU05, or first block teachers.

Georgia Parent Survey

In an effort to create and maintain exceptional schools, the Georgia Department of
Education has created a Georgia Parent Survey that is available for all parents and
guardians of Habersham Central students.  Survey responses will be anonymous and
submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education.  The Georgia Parent Survey
is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey.

Georgia Student Health Survey - Spanish

The Georgia Department of Education has developed a brief Student Health Survey to be administered to students. HCHS will begin administering the survey in October 2023.
The Georgia Student Health Survey is designed to collect data on student wellness during the current school year; it is anonymous and completely voluntary and includes questions about peer and adult social support, bullying, stress, mental health, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. The survey results will provide districts and
schools with data regarding the non-academic barriers to learning being faced by their students. Hard copies of the survey are available for review at Habersham Central or by viewing the attached document.
